Psychiatry treats emotional problems. Our psychiatrists are all board certified or board eligible in the specialty of psychiatry.
This means they have completed a psychiatric residency after graduating medical school. They also have passed a series of tests for board certification. If they are board eligible it means they have met the requirements to be eligible to take the tests for certification; this testing process can take two to three years after completing the residency program.
